Trippy Thompson
To have ever seen Trippy holding forth at the routinely
mobbed bar where he works is to realize what a presence he is. At 6'6"
he towers over his surroundings and emits an extraordinarily sincere aura
of geniality and high spirits, which belies the angst and turmoil that define
his stage persona. Trippy embodies the camaraderie and playfulness that
are at the heart of the Dragmules, but he also embodies the emotional power
that permeates the band's music.
Trippy lives for the moment and enjoys making music, wasting time, and "Taking
it as it comes." He says about living on a day to day basis,"That's how I've
gotten myself in a lot of trouble and in the middle of a record deal."
